Once again it has been to long since I have written, really its been to long since I have even thought about my poor blog. And much as it always is, many things have happened in the last two months. So since I pretty much use this blog as my way of journaling bare with me as go through the things that have happened.
1. I became a Temple Worker. Ok fine I know I mentioned this in one of my last posts but this is a big deal and it really is a highlight of my week. I have learned so much since I started working there and to be honest I cant think of a better way to spend my Saturday nights, I just love it and it really makes my troubles disappear for awhile.
2. I passed my 90 day test! When I started at the Credit Union I knew I had a 90 day probationary period and then I would have to take a test that would determine whether I would be able to continue to work there after words, I didn't start to worry about this till the night before but after 3 months of studying and hard work I PASSED! not only did I pass but I got a pretty good score too. Along with passing my test I also was able to go full time! YAY! It is great, except that I am not gone from home for almost 11 hours a day since it takes at least 30 minutes to get there and another to get back home.
3. I had a birthday... and I turned a whole 23 years old. Birthdays are kind of anti climatic in my family but my mother did a wonderful job, Now the only reason that I bring this is up is because I am going to be starting a new hobby.... I am going to teach myself how to quilt. My mother got me quilt book and as soon as I have time to sit down and breathe I am going to quilt. My first project is a pin cousin, which will come in handy when I do further projects. But the project I most look forward to but that I have to work up to is making a quilt out of the dresses I wore when I was little... I am really looking forward to this. Now that I have it written down maybe it will actually happen.
4. My Mother moved in. After months of working on it and knowing it would happen she finally got here and the house is almost sold. I now have no reason to ever have to go back to Visalia again, it is a strange feeling but also a relief at the same time!
5. My social life is continuing to improve! This last weekend I was able to go to Southern California with a friend and it was one of the best weekends ever! I took her to Disneyland for her first time, we went to the Newport beach Temple and the San Diego Temple and sat on the beach and watched the sun set, I don't think I have ever laughed so hard or so much in my entire life! And best of all we came back better friends then when we left.... which is saying a lot for the 2 of us.
6. The dreaded snow has come. TO make a long story short.... I hate driving in the snow.
7. The Christmas season has arrived! Although Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday I still love the Christmas season, at least the Christmas season through my eyes. I don't care about the gifts I just love the feeling of the year. I love seeing the lights, and I love this time to spend with family and to reflect more on the Savior. Back in March I talked about Easter traditions so I am going to take a moment to mention my favorite Christmas tradition that is still possible and that is the German advent that my family has celebrated every year since I can remember. I was reminded of this when I came home from my trip to our wreath and candle sticks sitting on the counter, although we have yet to celebrate 1st advent.... which was this last sunday.... I have always enjoyed the time when my family would gather together and sing Christmas hymns and light candles to celebrate the birth of our Lord.
Alright I believe my list is done, maybe I will have pictures of products of pictures from my trip to put up next time that would probably be more pleasing to those that come to my blog but in the mean time this is what you get.

Perfecting Professionalism
With my new job has come new adventures in life and new lessons. Since I now work at a credit union it is my job to both look and act like a professional at all times while I am there so that the members that walk through the door will be willing to trust me with their money. To be honest with you this was on thing that was appealing about the job in the first place, mainly because I would be able to dress nicely which always makes anyone feel better, I also figured that acting like one would be no problem.... I was a little wrong on that aspect of the job. Anyone who knows me, and knows me well, these would mainly consist of my family members and very very close friends, knows that I am secretly, or maybe not so secretly and air head and a klutz and as my sister would put it a mess maker. I can usually hide it for the most part but sometimes it just slips out, and it slips our at work a lot more then what it should.
Since everyone always enjoys a good laugh here are a few of my moments at work. Since I am able to dress up nicely I have started to wear heels which me plus heels is always a dangerous mix but I decided that there was no time like the present to start learning how to really walk in them, and since I sit down most the day I don't really see the harm that it could really cause me, but that is until I have to stand up and go get something, some of my favorite trips have been 1. I was walking over to help a member and drive through and some how I tripped on the leg of the chair I was passing and pretty much flew into the chair I was headed to, and since it was me of course the member right next to the window say it and started freaking out to make sure I was ok. Another moment happened just last week where I was standing up to go grab something and went head first into a wall, thankfully I swerved and caught myself so only my shoulder grazed it but it was close call. The same day I also tripped over a chair and over my feet several times.
So lets just say that I have a long ways to go before I am the professional that I am aiming to be because even as I talk to I make many mistakes but thankfully it usually sends the member laughing as they walk out the door, so I shall leave you with my best moment of all.
Last week we were busy, it was Friday everyone wanted to make sure they got their cash for the weekend and their checks deposited so they could have money to play with so I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off so I had this member who wanted to get some play money out of his account but he didn't have an id with him so I just asked him some questions to verify that he was really him. One of these questions was "what is your mother's maiden name" easy question right? Well apparently not because before I know it I am asking him "What yo mama's name" I paused and waited and hoped he didn't hear what I had just said but of course he did. I am still wondering where in the world that came from considering I have never said anything close to that my entire life.

Tender Mercies
It has been months I know since I have updated this blog, and it has been haunting me for the last few weeks or so, so bare with me while I organize my thoughts on what I should share with those souls that deem my blog worthy of their time. (ie my mother). The last couple months have been a whirlwind of changes for me, a girl who feels her life is the most boring as they come, so it has been fairly exciting. These changes have come in all shapes and sizes and I have deemed the last few months, really the last 6 months or so as the months from the Lord, because I have seen his hand in my life in every corner and it has made me grateful and full of joy and happiness, which for me has been a strange concept for years. My life still has many things in store the I hope will continue to life me up but for now let me recap.
It really started the day I decided it was time to go through the Temple which you can see a previous blog post for that if you are needing something to put you to sleep, remember my blog is pretty much my way of keeping a journal. But since then I have been blessed to have the Lords influence in my life, even in the down points of the last few months. I was on a spiritual high and not to much has brought me low since I started to rise. so lets move on.
One aspect of life that tried to being me low was work, work was awful, I dreaded going in, I hated my job and I did not get along with my boss. When I finally reached breaking point I knew it was time to find a new one before I lost my head a quit so I sort of started looking, I had a hard time because I hate job hunting, but a guy in my ward told me his job was hiring, it was the one and only application I sent out, I was worried about getting the job but I did and I love it. I am now a banking girl and no longer dread going to work. I know that the Lord made life at the grocery store difficult for me so I would be willing to leave my comfort zone and find a new job and then he provided the job I needed when the time was right. And I must say, I enjoy having holidays off.
I have also been working on my social life, I have made several good friends that I actually enjoy being with and I don't feel like a tag along which is pretty much a first since I was in 7th grade so that has been a great blessing in my life. I know you are probably waiting for me to mention that I have a special boy in my life but I can't because you actually have to talk to boy to do that and since I am a snob I don't think that will be happening any time soon, so I am working on living my back up plan...(mother stop reading here) Being a cat lady.
Which brings me to another point. With my parents working on moving out to Utah it means that I finally am able to have my cat with me, this is something that I have been working towards since I moved out to Virgina and then again when I moved to Utah. Although she is scared of being here, even after a month I enjoy that she is with me and I love having her to cuddle with at night, even though she thinks she has out grown cuddling and hates doing it, she will still sleep on my legs a night and I absolutely love having her there... Ok I am now done gushing over my kitty. (mother you can start read agian)
One last thing that has happened, and it happened only last week is I was called to be a Temple worker, which is a pretty amazing and over whelming calling I must say. I have only had one shift so far but it was amazing to spend 5 straight hours in the House of the Lord doing his work.... Or in my case watching his work be done since I had no idea what I was doing. I look forward to the shifts that come and the blessings and strength that will come with serving the Lord in His House.
I am very excited for the months to come to see what the Lord has in store for my life.

gyis The Brute Dragon Boston
11 years ago my parents and I went to a reptile show to get a bearded dragon, I had had one as a class pet that I took home for spring break and my family just fell in love with it so my mom decided to get her own. We started out with one who got sick and didn't live with us for very long so this trip was to replace him. We had only planned on getting one but they were a very good deal so we decided to get 2, the people we bought them from were very great with their reptiles and they were all very healthy. Since I was there, and I was the whole reason we were getting dragons my mom let me pick one out. In the corner all by himself was the smallest dragon of the lot, they were newborns so only a couple weeks old and only a weighed a few grams so I picked him because he looked lonely and sweet. Well He was a brute, a sweet brute but a brute. for 8 and a half years he had to make sure he looked good for the other dragon MAKK until she passes away, he loved taking bathers and hated being in a cage and spent the majority of his life roaming around his room or the house when we let him. gyis will be greatly missed but I hope that in dragon heaven there will be plenty of girls for him to please.

I Love to See the Temple
Back in primary we used to sing all the time called "I Love to see the Temple" and that has pretty much been my theme song for the last couple weeks. Here are the lyrics.
I Love to see the Temple
I'm going there some day
To feel the Holy Spirit
To listen and to pray
For the Temple is a house of God
A place of love and beauty
I'll prepare myself while I am young
This is my sacred duty
I Love to see the Temple
I'll go inside someday
I'll cov'nant with my Father
I'll promise to obey
For the Temple is a holy place
Where we are sealed together
As a child of God I've learned this truth
A fam'ly is forever.
I can not fully express how much more this song means to me now then what it did just a month ago. It is true I have always loved to see the temple, when they were building the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple every week my family would go out of our way to drive by it and see the progress on our way home from church. Even though we couldn't always tell and it usually just consisted of pulling over to the side of the road for a minute or two before we turned around and went home it was always great that we went out of our way to do so. But even then I don't think I ever really fully understood how wonderful the temple truly is.
Last week I was able to actually go through the temple to receive my own endowments and it was a whirl wind ride from the time I decided to start looking into it and when I went through, it was no more then a month and a half from start to finish. I started feeling as though maybe I should start looking into it towards the end of February, but I was afraid that my Bishop would tell me no, that I needed to wait until I was older, so I didn't really want to have the rejection. Then one Sunday my stake had a relief society fireside on Temples, I didn't really want to go because honestly who wants to go to a fireside with just relief society, well my visiting teacher invited me to go with her, so I thought I would be nice and go so I could support her trying to do what she was supposed to. This fireside changed my life really, it was probably the best fireside I have ever been to and it answered all of my questions and I felt really strongly then that it was time to go see my Bishop. With going on vacation I wasn't able to go in and see him for two weeks after that but when I did I still wasn't expecting it to happen for a long time, at the earliest being late in the summer. When I brought it up I was nervous, I didn't know what to say or how he would take it, I had no need to be. I walked out with a temple recommend that day. Over the next week I got my second interview which was with a wonderful man who was just so excited for me he could barely contain it, and I had another meeting with my Bishop so he could talk to me more about what was going to happen. It just so happened that the timing of all of this seems to have been meant to be. My parents were both able to come out since my mother has a broken leg and it just so happened that my dad ended up getting several job interviews while he was out here for that week, it was really divine intervention in my opinion.
April 9th, I was able to go through and it was literally the best experience I have ever had, everyone kept telling me that it was a once in and eternity opportunity, and it truly was. Since then I have done 2 more sessions aside from my own and some sealings. I am so grateful that I live so close to the temple, I keep feeling like I need to go back every day and spend some time there, I even went this afternoon after church and sat in the parking lot for an hour just so I could be close to the house of the Lord. The Temple is the House of the Lord and he is there just waiting for me to come and visit with him, and I am always impatient to get back there once I leave. I love to see the Temple, it is the peace in my life that I have been searching for for a very long time, nothing can reach me while I am there. I am very glad that I didn't have to wait until I was getting married or going on a mission to go through I am grateful for this time that I have to be able to savor the experience I have had and to work on my relationship with my Father in Heaven.

100th POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over 3 years ago I started this blog and now the time how come that I have finally reached my 100th blog post and what a road it has been to get to this post. When I realized a couple months ago that I was getting close to my 100th post I decided that I should look back and see what has happened since I have started. My life is no where close to what it was 3 years ago and I am so grateful for that because I am pretty sure I have changed for the better. When I started this blog I was a 19 year old who had discovered to much about life and looking for away to make it better, and although it was hard and the road was long I have finally found that better life I was looking for. It isn't what I had imagined and I am not where I thought I would be but I am finally fully happy with where I am in my life, no that is not so say that I wouldn't be okay with finding a husband and starting a family or doing something other then working in a grocery store but I can honestly say I am happy with my self, with my life and with all the things that the Lord has in store for me.
3 years ago I moved to Virginia, this was one of the best choices I ever made, some of my friends said I was running away from the things of my past, and I guess in a way I was but I wouldn't change my experience for the world. I loved the time I spent in Virginia, I learned so much, made some great friends and was able to heal and experience life away from my parents. I loved seeing all the history of the country and I can not wait to be able to go back and explore some more, someday I will make it back there again.
After Virginia I moved back home, this may not have been the best move for me except that I was able to finish my schooling and I was able to realize that all the things I thought I missed while I was in Virginia weren't worth it, so when it came time for me to leave home again I was able to do it and not feel the need to look back... That move brought me to Utah.
I started out in Provo Utah which there were things I liked and things I had issues with, I had my first experience with roommates which could have gone better and my job wasn't the best but I was able to meet several great people and make pretty good friends out of them. It wasn't an easy place to live for me, my ward although friendly I was never able to get involved with and I never really got to know my bishop like what I felt I needed too, but again these experiences thought me so much. Although my life had already changed a lot by this point it wasn't until I made this last move the I feel like it really started to move forward.
I now live in South Jordan Utah, I have a pretty good job, it still isn't my favorite but it allows me to live where I am and take care of myself. I am starting to get to know many great people in my gigantic ward and most importantly I have a bishop that has striven to get to know me as an individual and help me to progress in away that didn't seem to possible to me for a long time. I now know that life is great, that I have many great things in store for my future and that this Journey I am on is an amazing journey regardless of what happens.
Now if you have made it this far in this post then congratulations, I know its long but it was more so for me to be able to look back and see the progress I have made in my life. I have so many things to be grateful for. My relationship with my Heavenly Father is stronger then what it ever has been before. This up coming week I get to make a big step in my life that I have been looking forward to for years because of the relationship I have been striving to gain with Heavenly Father and the relationship I have been working on with myself. I am thankful for this life I have been given, the experiences I am able to have and I am glad I can share those experiences on my blog with those I care about.
Here is to the next 100th posts to come and the experiences and adventures that life has in store for me.

Easter Traditions
Happy Easter Everyone!
Everyone has traditions for just about every holiday, my family was no different when I was little although the older I have gotten the fewer traditions we actually still do. Some of our traditions were always having a pot roast for the 4th of July and of course a few fireworks. For Thanksgiving of course we always had the traditional dinner but all had to take a part in making it which in some way was our tradition. Christmas we celebrated by doing the German Advent, the 4 Sundays before Christmas, and one of the best but that sadly due to growing up and some of us thinking we need to get married but every Christmas eve all 4 of us girls would sleep together in the same room, I am sure that my older sister loved this because that meant they were in charge of keeping me in bed, and what little girl wants to go to sleep or bed when presents are being put under the tree. So anyways just a few of the traditions that my family had while I was growing up, but one of my absolute favorite traditions fell on Easter.
My family really didn't do egg hunts, in fact I don't really remember doing any egg hunts at home but thats ok we would still get the candy and not have to work that hard to get it. Also of course my family did dye eggs, but really who doesn't? But none of the regular traditions ever really were what made my families Easter celebrations special. Every Easter my wonderful parents would buy each girl a brand new dress! Honestly I don't know how or what started this tradition but growing up I absolutely loved it, I guess others probably also had this tradition but it was one of my favorites.
When I was a little girl I loved dresses, plain dresses, church dresses, fancy dresses, and I wore them all the time, pretty much anywhere I went I usually had a dress on. So it shouldn't be that big of a surprise that when Easter Morning came along I was one happy girl. Sadly the older I go the less we really did our traditions but I suppose that is just part of life. Anyways I hadn't thought about this tradition for a very long time but then recently I was asked if my family had any fun traditions to do which got me to remember, at first I was thinking well its just going to be me and my sister and I will be lucky if I even have church off work let alone be able to make dinner or strive to do some tradition or another but then I remembered that it was going to be my niece's first Easter, so I had to ask my sister if she remembered to buy little Miss Mione Moe a new dress for Easter, I was happy to hear that she had and that the Boston Family Tradition of getting a new dress for Easter hasn't completely died out yet. And for those of you that are wondering, no I did not get my self a new dress for Easter this year, but one year this will be a tradition that I will make sure I do.
