It has been bugging me for the last few weeks that I haven't really had anything to update on my blog.... At least nothing super exciting. I was able to go home for vacation a couple weeks ago and go to Disneyland with my parents and my niece and nephews. It was a really fun experience to be able to go and spend those days at one of my favorite places and to be able to spend it with my family. After Disney I just went home and relaxed, I did have to get some dental work done, I had been hoping to get my wisdom teeth taken out but since all for of them were still encapsulated in bone they didn't want to, I instead got my very first fillings... I never want to go through that experience again it was awful. It was really nice to just relax with my parents and of course cuddle with my kitty even though she hid from me for a couple of days it was still nice.
When I returned home from Vacation I started in a new department, the Deli... I am still trying to decide if I like it or not, it has been so over whelming and I have had to be so dependent on my co workers for a job that is a very independent job, so ask me in a few weeks if I like it or not... I really do prefer the hours that I am working because it is mainly morning shifts but that is about all I can say for that.
As for the future I have some exciting things that will be happening in the next couple of weeks but I am not yet ready to share with my blog, those who need to know do know and as for the rest of you, you can wonder... or not as to what it is that is super amazing that I get to do!
On a side note I have been celebrating my being an idiot... Any guesses as to what it is that I might have done?

Update on Me
It has been a while since I really posted really anything and even longer since I really posted about me. Well in the last week so many positive things have happened to me that I just have to share because, well I am just super excited and super happy, and for those that know me well know that I haven't truly been happy for many years. So here is all that has gone on and will be going on in the next month or so.
1. I finally went to the temple for the first time in months the other night, I felt such peace and was so moved by the way I felt even though I was just doing baptisms. Why it had been so long since I had been I couldn't tell you but I am so happy I went when I did and have plans to go many times in the future. It is amazing how much more you can feel God's love when you are doing his work!
2. I have started baking again! for a long time I had stopped, again I can't really explain why but the point is I started baking again, I am going to make Kaitlin and I fat, and of course a long with that any other poor soul who is range for me to stuff goodies into, because to be honest, one of the things that makes me happiest about baking is being able to share my creations with other people.
3. I have started to sew again, I haven't done anything to major because honestly I haven't sewn in years so I decided to start with rice packs and I think if I am feeling up to it I might have a big project that I want to do but we will see how that goes.
4. Things are progressing at work. I finally got up the courage to ask about switching to the front end to the bakery. I think I would love to work in a bakery and Harmon's is really good at moving people around to get them to where they want to be. Well there aren't any openings in the bakery at the moment but I have been given the opportunity to move to the deli. I an nervous about it but at the same time so excited for something new!
5. Tomorrow my parents are coming for a week and more to visit. I am really excited for them to come, not so excited to have to clean and move into a cold room but I am very thankful for the opportunity that we have had to allow them to be able to come and and visit as much as they have in the last 6 months.
6. In 10 day I get to spend a couple day with my 3 favorite little people at the Happiest Place on earth! I love Disneyland, I always have, after moving to California it became where my dad and I had Daddy Daughter dates. I have so many great memories from there and I am so glad that I can go back and be able to make new ones with my niece and nephews as they go for the first time and are able to experience new things the older they get.
7. I also get to spend a week at home, I am excited that I get to see my kitty!!!! It has been so long she probably wont recognize me and if she does she'll probably be mad at me but I am glad I can see her, hopefully while I am there I can also get my wisdom teeth out, they have been hurting so much it is time for them to go, not excited about the process but excited to feel better!
8. I am starting to make friendships and get to know my ward a little better which always makes things so much nicer. The ward my sister and I are in is so huge and I haven't been the best at going to activities for the last 4 months but am working on getting better, through that I have met a few people which is great for me. I also love my bishopric I think they are part of the reason Kaitlin and I needed to move to daybreak because they have helped both of us so much!
9. This is probably the most important of them all. I am learning to build a better relationship with myself and with my Heavenly Father. These could have been seperated into 2 different things but I really feel that they belong together for my purpose. For a long time my relationship with Heavenly Father has suffered and I didn't know how to fix it, well in the last few weeks I have started to get to know myself better, remembering what it is that I love to do and starting again and really taking care of myself I realized that one way to help with that was to get closer to God, and oh my goodness it you would not believe how much peace I have received because of this. I am so thankful for all that he has done for me and that he is there to help me through and loves me no matter what and was just waiting for me to figure it out.
Sorry its kind of long but I just needed to let everyone know that life is great! And that I am Happy!!!

Excuses!
Everyone who knows me, knows that baking is something I love to do, if I
could I would do it all day everyday but then I would be fat and
everyone around me would be fat too. Well to be honest for the past
year or so I haven't really been baking, although family members have
been telling me flat out and hinting that I need to do so. Seeing that
the below picture is everything I got from my family members this past
Christmas... Yes that is a 32 oz bottle of pure vanilla and it smells
heavenly, along with 2 baking books.
After literally months of my mother telling me I'd be happier if I started baking again and me shrugging her off but still doing a little baking here and there I finally came to the conclusion that she is right. The Boy has a birthday tomorrow and I offered to make his birthday cake, this is and adventure I have never done before I tend to stay with pies and some cookies for the most part, this means cakes, although have been made by me before have never been anything more then a rectangle in a pan, but it is something that I wanted to do for him, and for myself. This means making a cake that I don't usually do decorating it and then giving it to him at the family cake eating we will be having on Sunday it his parents house... No Pressure right? Well over the past week I have been trying to decide on a cake, which I finally have but you can't know till Sunday when I hopefully will have taken pictures of it and it has turned out beautiful. I have also come to the conclusion that I needed to go to Bed Bath and Beyond to get a couple of items to help making the cake easier. One of my sisters says she could easily spend a hundred dollars everytime she went there and today for the first time I figured out why... I barely made it out with the few items that I did get without taking the entire store with me... but here are the treasures I found.

I went to get a mixer because since moving to Utah I have been without one of my own and a cake frosting spatula thing, well the longer I walked around the more I found and the more I had to put back, but as I turned to leave my eyes fell on something that I had wanted but knew would be pricey, the other ones I had looked at were 30 dollars and up and I just couldn't quite talk myself into spending that much money but there it was a beautiful cake dome for only 10 dollars, I knew I had to have it because it would make traveling with the cake on Sunday that much easier... and it was as I said beautiful so of course I got it. Now let me tell you I was one happy girl walking out of the store with what I had found, I only wish I could have brought more with me... I'll just have to come up with another excuse to go back.

Contempt of Court
It is no secret that California is not my favorite state for many reasons. One of those reasons is Jury Duty. From the moment you turn 18 in California you are sent jury summons and for the most part you get them about once a year or so, I could be wrong there because my own personal experience with jury summons has been an interesting road. I didn't get my first summons until I lived in Virginia, since I didn't know how long I was going to be living there I didn't get residency when I got my summons my parents just sent it back saying I no longer lived there and everything was just fine.
When I moved back to California to finish school I was there for a good 8 or so months and I got nothing but a few weeks after moving to Utah I got another one, my parents did the same thing again and they sent it back saying that it wasn't acceptable and that I needed to show up on the date appointed, well I was in Utah, couldn't afford to take time off and travel just for Jury duty, I called in and they told me I had about 30 days to change my residency before they sent me another one, well I didn't have any of the stuff I needed and couldn't get it till I went home, that and they sent me another summons before my time was up. To make a long story short I have been avoiding Jury Duty for a few years now, not on purpose but anyways a few months ago I still hadn't changed my residency and my parents got another letter, I was being Charged with Contempt of Court for not appearing to Jury Duty and I had a week and a half to appear in court to defend myself or to call them and explain why I wasn't going to be there. I had a whole 2 days of being a criminal, it was actually kind of fun but the thing I kept worrying about was not being able to go to Disneyland. I was able to move back my court date in order to officially become a Utah resident... I am now sadly a Utah resident, on the bright side I can now go to Disneyland with out having to go through extravagant plans for California not to figure out that I have entered the state. As much fun as being able to say I was a criminal was I very happy to be done with it and to no longer be in contempt of court.

Finding a Flight
Since I moved back from the Eastcoast 2 years ago I have been trying to figure out how to get back there to visit. First having a lack of job while I finished school didn't help me much and then moving to Utah and have a minimum wage job meant that if I was lucky I could possible squeeze in a week of going to visit my parents.
Well times have changed and I have been given even more reason for me to make a trip back east. (John and Rebekah this in no way says that you alone are not worth the trip because you are). My sister and her husband now live in Baltimore and New York so ever since I found out they were going to be close to where I lived I have been trying to save up to go and visit everyone and maybe do a bit more site seeing.
Being really bored this evening with not having very many hours of work and nothing else to do but clean and get things ready for thanksgiving I decided that I would look at flight prices, its just something I do every few months to see if they are going down at all. Since my mother had mentioned possibly going at the same time I did I decided that I would look up flights from California, see if any had a layover in Salt Lake and then we could do the remainder of the trip together... Well I found the perfect flight my mother could fly out of the airport closest to her land in Salt Lake and meet up with me for a grand total of 486 dollars, once I saw that flight I knew I had to find it from just Salt Lake... And I did, for 502 dollars I could get on the same flight with less traveling. Am I the only one a little confused by this?
The search for that perfect flight and price continues.

November Happenings
The month is here again and it is as always turning out to be the best month of the year. November has always been my favorite month for obvious reasons, my birthday and my favorite holiday how could you go wrong with both of those in the same month. Although we aren't even half way through the month so many things have happened that are pretty life changing or just fun.
The first thing that happened was I started a new job, thats right I finally found a job that I don't have to travel and hour to get to... Sad thing is, it is doing the same thing I have been doing for the past year.
Due to getting this new job of mine I was able to quit Macey's. This was a bitter sweet moment, I really enjoyed most the people I worked with and will miss them but I was excited to be able to move on to something different, even if it is the same thing, it will at least be a whole lot closer to home so I wont have to drive in the snow as much. Along with the job switch I was able to get most of this past week off which was really nice to have.
As always with November comes another year to add to my age, its the big 22 this year and let me tell you, I just feel old. I was able to spend the day with a couple of friends who took me out to eat for lunch, spending time with them always makes my week and leaves the 3 of us laughing for hours so I was grateful that we were able to spend that time together, hopefully next time we can get others to come and join us as well. The boy I am dating also took great strides to spoil me, and did a pretty good job, he took me out to dinner. ( I ate a lot that day) and then he took me to a play which was really good. I really enjoyed my day except for the fact that from the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep it was snowing. Now normally I wouldn't mind the snow but it was cold there was lots of it and I had to drive in it... I didn't order a white birthday.
Last but not least for November is my favorite holiday. I love Thanksgiving, it seems to be one of the few holidays where the meaning hasn't been lost to something else, to me it means spending time with the family making this amazing meal and most of all being thankful for the gifts that the Lord has put into our lives. I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year because my whole family is coming to Utah to celebrate, they will be here for a whole week and I can't wait to see them all, I only hope that I wont have to work the whole time that they are here.

Saturday Shopping
Yesterday, being the only day off I had this week I had planned to spend the day reading and sleeping due to the long work week and a late night movie with a friend. A couple of hours after my sister left for work I started to get really restless and needed to do something so I decided to plan a meal for Sunday dinner and brave going to the store. Once I had my list of items need I headed off to the store, when I got there I remembered that I probably needed crushed red peppers and so I went a heat and bought some. When I got back after an hour or so of the experience of facing the dreaded store with to many people I got home and started working on dinner because my meat needed to merinate over night. When opening the cupboard I found an opened bag of red peppers. When my sister cam out this morning she commented on the fact that we already had 2 bags of the stuff and sure enough when I looked further in to the cupboard, sure enough there was another bag... It is safe to say that we are set with red peppers for a while.
I late found out that we also had apple cider viniger already... another ingredient I needed for dinner.
